25.preaching the gospel in many Samaritan villages.

Verse 4,12,25

Today, I have found that the early church members tried to preach the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ. Their doing this is expressed in several verses which means their main job was to preach the word of God and the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ.

This preaching was done not only at their places but also anywhere they went.

Nowadays Jesus tells us we can do not only the things he did but also more than his work when we believe it. Likewise, we can and must obey Jesus’ order when he left for heaven which is to preach and make discipline and baptize in the name of Jesus. This is to be the main job not only that day but also these days. Because this is the great order Jesus asked us when he left.

This preaching is to be done always whether we get the time or not. So, preaching is the way to follow Jesus correctly. Then, who can do this? Only shall ministers do that? Was it prohibited to the general deacons? Someone might think that preaching is to be done only by ministers. Is it correct?

When I think about this matter, this order shall be done by all of us who received this order. This order was requested by the people who were looking at Jesus raising to heaven. Those people were disciples all not only apostles. And Peter said we are all priests like kings which means we have the right of priest like a king and the mission to preach words to the people as priests did before.

So, in my thinking not preaching is disobedience of Jesus Christ’s order. And to do this preaching, we need to pray and read Bible. without knowing who is Jesus and who is God, how can we preach God and Jesus? Without prayer how can we get to be bold to preach the gospel? So, Preaching is our mission in this life and to preach we need to prepare with prayer and the words of God at any time and place.

because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

Verse 16

Through this verse, God told me the Holy Spirit does not come only by baptizing in the name of Jesus but with prayer by apostles or by themselves. The early disciples received Holy Spirit by prayer themselves and the other disciplines received by apostles’ prayer. So, we can know the Holy Spirit could be received through ministry or by themselves but the common term is the prayer which gave them the Holy Spirit.

Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.

Verse 35

Philip was a deacon, not an apostle but he preached the words of God eagerly. He was scattered by the persecution in Jerusalem. But everywhere he went he preached the words of God even though he was chased by the enemies. He might know the Gospel very well. He could explain Jesus from the beginning of the book of Isaiah. Through this, we can know that the disciple has to know the Words of God very well enough to explain whole the story of the Bible. Stephen did summarize all the Bible history and connected to Jesus from the Old Testament. So, we need to study the bible more to preach well Jesus Christ. Even Philip Deacon did baptize the Ethiopian eunuch. So the baptizing can be done by Deacon too not only by Minister such as Pastor.

So we all are priests like a king. So we all not only ministers have the right to do all the things Jesus asked and the mission of all the things Jesus asked. Through this, we can please Jesus and God and we do all the missions in this life we are living. We all can be pleased by Jesus and God through this kind of preaching and making disciples and baptizing.

Jesus has asked us to preach his words and asked to make disciples and baptize the people who want. These are our rights of us and our mission to do at the same time. These are the purpose we live in this life. The people who have a mission can be happy and the people who don’t have a mission can be wandering and unhappy. So we are always thankful to Jesus who has given us the mission and the purpose to live in this life like smog. Hallelujah. Let’s live this life with the passion for preaching what Jesus has asked us which can give us meaningful life with happiness. With a righteous mission, we all can live correctly and pleasantly.
