Today John Chapter 6 shows a very dramatic movable scene to us. Jesus talked to the people who followed him to eat him and to drink his blood which are the real-life leading to eternal life. People followed Jesus not because they had seen the signs but because they sought the bread.
Jesus said to them Spirit gives the life, not the flesh which is nothing. But most of the huge amount of people left Jesus turned back and never followed Him because they sought the bread only and were not interested in believing in Jesus who leads to life. But when Jesus asked the 12 disciples whether they would leave too, Peter and the 12 disciples said “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of Go”. The 12 disciples had left their homes, jobs and followed Jesus. They realized that Jesus was the Holy One who came from God. And they knew that Jesus’ words were eternal life. They believed that Jesus was sent from God to give them eternal life. Even though so many people who followed together have left Jesus, they still kept the belief in Jesus and God who sent Jesus. They were not swayed by the fellows turning back and kept their belief. Many people did not realize the real life in Spirit and they did not believe the eternal life existence. They were still in the darkness and hated the light in Jesus. But the 12 disciples did not.
I truly am movable in this story. The real attitude of the real disciple who pursues the truth holy one. So many people around me left Jesus when they did not get the bread in their life. So many fellows pursue only the bread visible. They just are interested only in the things in this age not interested in the eternal life coming in the next age. I am living with those people but I still try to keep the words of God and seek eternal life coming in the next age. God says that the key to eternal life is to believe in Jesus. And Jesus says to eat his flesh and drink his blood. What does it mean? This means living together with Jesus. Eating flesh and drinking blood means that those are coming into my body and remain in me. Remaining in me means living together. So, to get eternal life, first shall believe in Jesus who is sent by God, and live together with Jesus then God gives life and raise up on the last day. This is a Spiritual secret and only the people who are drawn by God can understand it. I am so appreciative of God and praise God for letting me understand it. I was taught by God and heard the Father and learned from him. Now I truly believe in Jesus who is sent by God to give us eternal life. Same as the 12 disciples, I truly testify that “Lord, to whom shall I go? You have the words of eternal life. I have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God”
